Karl Matthews

BASILICATA, CALABRIA, CAMPANIA, PUGLIA, SARDEGNA, SICILIA

Born in Nottingham the year England won its only football World Cup, Karl has been in Italy since 1991.
He taught English in schools for 17 years and has been with DEASCUOLA since 2009 and has supported teachers both in Italy and abroad. He is particularly interested in using technologies to motivate students and helping them to discover the joys of reading.
In his freetime Karl is a keen swimmer and has his hands full with his 3 dogs.

Christian Evans

ABRUZZO, EMILIA ROMAGNA, LAZIO, MARCHE, MOLISE, TOSCANA, UMBRIA 

Christian trained as a high school teacher of physical education and mathematics, before moving to Italy in search of sunshine. He started teaching English in 1996. In 2004, Christian moved into educational publishing and has been working with DEASCUOLA since 2017. He is particularly interested in how learning works, with an emphasis on inclusive teaching and personalised learning. 
When he is not thinking about ELT, he is busy with two daughters and four cats, and dreams of being a rock star.

Michael Flynn

FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA, LIGURIA, LOMBARDIA, PIEMONTE, TRENTINO ALTO ADIGE, VALLE D’AOSTA, VENETO, PIACENZA

Originally from Manchester, after obtaining his TEFL teaching qualification in October 1992, he moved to Italy and taught in Turin, Livorno and Reggio Emilia also doing six summers in Canterbury as Director of Studies for a busy summer school teaching mainly Italian students. He moved into ELT publishing in September 1999 and has been with DEASCUOLA since October 2017.
Father of a teenage daughter, he is happy to have passed his love of Craft Beer to her.  No other beers, please!
